Health Care Teams Have Conducted 5.9 Million Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Screenings of More than 3 Million Medi-Cal Members
The ACEs Aware July 2026 annual data report highlights continued progress in screening Medi-Cal members for Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and expanding provider training statewide.
From January 1, 2020, through June 30, 2025, Medi-Cal clinicians conducted 5,918,450 ACE screenings of 3,045,940 unique Medi-Cal members. Between December 4, 2019, and March 31, 2026, the initiative also continued to grow its provider training reach, with more than 55,250 individuals completing the Becoming ACEs Aware in California online training, including approximately 25,330 Medi-Cal clinicians who are now ACEs Aware-certified and eligible to receive Medi-Cal payment for conducting ACE screenings.
