Health Care Teams Have Conducted More than 4.8 Million Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Screenings of Nearly 2.8 Million Medi-Cal Members

The ACEs Aware initiative released its December 2025 quarterly data report, which highlights continued progress in screening Medi-Cal members for Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and expanding provider training statewide.

From January 1, 2020, through December 31, 2024, Medi-Cal clinicians conducted 4,883,630 ACE screenings of 2,744,380 unique Medi-Cal members. Between December 4, 2019, and September 30, 2025, the initiative also continued to grow its provider training reach, with more than 50,900 individuals completing the Becoming ACEs Aware in California online training, including approximately 23,920 Medi-Cal clinicians who are now ACEs Aware-certified and eligible to receive Medi-Cal payment for conducting ACE screenings.
